Simple Fall Makeup Look

I don’t know about where you live but it’s like fall hit Connecticut this past week. I wore my first sweater, whipped out my tall boots, and sadly packed away my jean shorts. The trees are changing colors and the temperature is dropping and fall is certainly here to stay. So, I thought I’d share a simple fall makeup look today. I have to say, I think fall makeup might be my favorite! My makeup tends to lean more warm tones this time of year and I, of course, pull out the darker shades and berry lips. This look is the perfect fall look and you can pair it with a berry lip or go for something more nude and natural.

Simple Everyday Fall Makeup Look

I started with the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation. I love this foundation because not only is it super long lasting, but it always looks really natural on my skin. On top of that, it doesn’t bother my dry skin (YAY!). I’m following up with the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer (aka- one of my new favorite things). I’m using my Real Techniques Expert Face Sponge to pat this all in and then using the same sponge I’m going to set it into place. To make the concealer totally bullet proof I’ll bake it. As scary as “baking” concealer sounds, it’s actually really simple. Using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores HD Setting Powder – my favorite for setting/baking – I’m going to pat a thick layer on top of my concealer using the same sponge. Then, let it sit. I find about 5+ minutes to be the perfect time. There is some science behind all this which I’m not going to go into in this post, but I’m happy to cover the ins and outs of it in a separate post. While waiting for time to elapse, I’m going to contour with the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer. Then I’ll knock away any of the extra powder on my concealer with a dense brush.

Moving on to eyes, I softly filled in my browns with a tinted brow gel.  For shadow I’m going to use the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette (I’m so obsessed with this and it’s perfect for fall!) I’ll use a light shimmer shade all over my lid, a soft light mauve in my crease, and then the top-right dark plum color on my outer most corner and blend it all out. Lastly I swipe a little of that dark plum along my bottom lash line to just smoke it out a tad. I love how these colors combined makes my eyes POP. Top if all off it a few coats of mascara and a soft liquid liner line.

To finish my face I’m using a Wet n Wild Blush in Pearlescent Pink and then highlighting with the BH Cosmetics Carli Bybel Eyeshadow & Highlighter Palette using the two lightest highlighters. A soft glow from highlighters is my favorite in the fall. It’s so dewy and radiant! Then, top this off with your favorite fall lip color! My favorites right now are MAC Darkside, Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Marvelous Mauve, and the Revlon HD Lip Matte Colors in pretty much any colors because I’m obsessed with them all. If you need some help finding the right lip color, I shared a post all about choosing the right lip color for your skin tone.

So there you have it, that’s the completed look. I love this because of it’s versatility and how radiant it looks. Like I said, I think fall makeup just might be my favorite!
